Come back to your centerCome back to center, that place in you that is still, calm, quiet, and connected.

Your center is a place you can trust. It connects the body, mind, heart, and soul. It connects your truth and your inner voice. Your insights, awareness’s, and guidance come from being there, at that place. It is a place that is quietly confident, unassuming, spontaneous, and free. It is accepting, nonjudgmental, and channels the voice of your heart. It knows perfect timing.

If you must leave your center to learn a lesson, feel a feeling, or experience something new, do that. Take all the side trips you are called to, but come back to center when you’re done.

Happiness is The Spiritual Experience of Living

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude” said Denis Waitley and he was right. Happiness, like gratitude is not a thing or possession — it is a way of being.

But how do we get “happiness”? How do we become “grateful”?

We live in a very busy world with lots of distractions and things to pay attention to. Taking time to be still, take a deep breath, and reflect on something positive is all it takes.

To often people know what they don’t want, what they don’t like. What if we were to just take a moment and think about just this day, what about this day is something that I appreciate? Even in the most difficult times, there is always something that can be put on the positive side of today’s ledger.

Perhaps someone held the door for you, your morning coffee, an unexpected call from a friend. Taking the time to think about these things brings a reflection of happiness, of being grateful. Now, let’s take that a step further. What if we were to write down the things that bring us happiness and gratitude? Now we’ve thought about something positive and we’ve written it down. That sends out a message to the universe that we’d like more of the same.

Taking this even a step further. What if we were to make sure to tell someone else what we appreciate about them? Thinking happy, writing down happy things, and telling others what we are happy about that they did is three times as effective. You get the point. In this way happiness becomes a way of life, a practice, that gives us, others, in fact, the entire world the message of happiness and gratefulness. And that is a good thing.
